What I...
Posting pictures and videos online allows people to represent their interests and passions for others to engage. Pictures reflect a moment in time and show a glimpse of the feelings. I chose to do what I eat because food was always an adventurous experience in my family. Ever since I was young, my parents would take me to as many restaurants as they could and expose me to many types of different cuisines. With this, my love of food sparked as well as my love for cooking. I especially like to try new recipes and make things from scratch. When I take photos of my food, it is a tribute to enjoying the food or the time and labor it took to make. My cooking reflects on the foods my parents made for me as a kid and new recipes I found eating at different restaurants. My favorite photo and dish that I made was the homemade chicken dumplings. I’ve always loved noodles since I was a kid, especially dumplings. I’ve always wanted to make them from scratch because I thought the flavor would be better. Unfortunately, folding the dumplings was going to be the most challenging part. But throughout that experience, I had so much fun watching videos and successfully folding all the dumplings. From home cook dishes to Michelin Star restaurants, food holds a significant cultural representation and a pleasurable experience for any dish. Photos of tables of food, someone cooking in the kitchen, groups of people eating together, to a plate of food allow for new recipes, ideas, and cultures to be spread around the world.
I like how you posted such a wide variety of food while also including a photo of yourself. It all looks soo good. Cooking in itself is a big way to express yourself and your culture. -Daniel Koshchak
